God damn weather!!

Well this weather has annoyed the hell out of me. I do FIFO and am only home every 1 week out of three.... And everytime I am home the weather turns to crap!!
got a question for you Boaties..... Would u consider going out Friday? Under 10kmot winds and up to 4.5m swell... Depending on what site you use!! It looks like the only half decent day this week to go out and get a few dhuies!! I've got a 6.7 barcrusher so she might be able to handle it!!

feel for you piggy, i would be spewing, id be looking for some snapper in close mate - looks like they are pretty thick at the moment, and the weather should help the cause a little, some protection would be desirable, atleast till you have a had a look at the conditions anyway.
i tend to look at the day before - it will take a good 12 hours for ocean to settle down in the wind is dropping - looking at the condtions i would say it looks pretty bad still IMO
i had a look at a 3 -3.5 metre swell a couple of weeks back in close and that was pretty hairy even with not much wind (due to the conditions the day before)- thats about max for me and i have 6.5m glass.

i was thinking about heading out chasing snapper, however everytime I do go out trying to get them I get bugger all.... I don't know where to go or anything!!

get some reefy ground mate,
get some reefy ground mate, not sure where you are located - but look at the navionics app, get some contours that go from about 12 - 20 metres in ground, as long as its reefy and broken its quality - have a look at your sounder.
anchor up and burley up with some mulie cubes - get a couple of floaters out (gangs, mulies) there and and hang on, if you dont get a snapper there will be some good skippy or Sambos around to keep up the fun until you get one.

Sorry to hear that Piggy.
I've been following the weather this week too, but Winds are accurately unpredictable for the day, but with the swell looking at around 4metres I wouldn't even risk it.
If you're absolutely Gun-ho about going out maybe think about inside Cockburn sound and find some ground, anchor and burley up and wait.
Only thing this weekend might be good for is hunting but alas I only have the compound bow now and no property to shoot on.
Maybe stay in and drink?

I feel for you mate, Im only home 1 week in 5 so between the weather, and a few problems with the boat Ive had to sort out its going to be nearly 4 months between wetting a line. The weather allways seems to come good on fly out day dammit

So Ive been looking on the site all week seeing the beautiful weather and awesome fish being caught and just as I am about to fly back for RNR this tuesday..... The weather turns shit house once again!!! F$%k winter!!! haha
Only 3 more breaks left to go out and then the demersal ban starts..... Not good!
