Anyone fished Oman?

Just watched a Robson Green Extreme fishing episode from Oman, if I was a younger man, that place would be on my bucket list. GTs and OS Mackies.

G'day Dale. I fished there
G'day Dale. I fished there with ocean active . To say it was an experience is an understatement! I drove from Dubai, crossed the border into Oman which is a mission in its self, an Australian passport is a good thing , my mate had a BIT more trouble. P.s road rules do not apply in Oman. It's an amazing coastal drive shear sandstone cliffs straight into the water. We crashed the night with the charter guys for an early start. Oman is a small town, compared to Dubai. Muslim rules apply, especially no alcohol .We fished all day. Huge tides, something like the Kimberly . So GT's go extra hard... We had very warm water so the charter boys said it was a bit slow, but for me it was still the best surface fishing I've done. We had massive fish crashing bait into the raging current watching a estimated 50kg trevally going up steam half out of the water trying to eat a queenfish is something I will not forget. You can catch just about everything there sailfish , marlin, Mackies etc. I landed 4 good Gt's and lost some too. It was probably 35/40 degrees and 100% humidity . I was fu---ked bye the time we turned for home. Favorite spot was place called the lion's jaw. It's Gt heaven. Similar to the horizontal falls except we fished in the middle! whirlpools and all. The charter boys supplied all our food drinks fishing gear. Stellas, matched too carpenter rods 120lbs braid. Top quality poppers you buy if you loose system... I'll definitely try too get back.

Yeah I've been out there a few times - highly recommend it. No Boundaries runs a great operation - 3 boats now and a liveaboard on the way
I put a couple of reports up on here a while back. First trip was the best one, first report below

When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
