News to me, they must not have a very powerful venom or maybe I have been spiked by a non venomous spine. It just bled a sh*tload with a bit of pain, nothing in comparison to cobbler.

Both are the same John
The only difference is mode of giving it.
Venom is normally injected by some means, like spines, fangs etc. Poison is normally ingested. But in the end thats the only difference and both are toxic.
Obviously the range varies and some are mild, others very powerful.

If you get stung
you will feel pain, old fart always has a good brown vinegar in the boat/car and the last time he got stung out came the brown vinegar, it takes away about 90% pain and also works on blue bottle stings. Our little dog would get bull ant stings in Leeman when we took her walking brown vinegar works on them also, plus the good old bee sting, just remember to take the sting out first. Brown vinegar also works on cobbler stings/ A good brown vinegar not the generic brand.
