A quick question regarding an Anderson plug for power supply to the electric boat trailer winch.
Winch is a Powerwinch 912, boat is a 6.7 metre ally centre cab weighing around 2 tonne.
Would the 50 amp Anderson plug be adequate, or would something bigger be required ?
The next size up that I have seen is 120 amp, is there anything available between 50 and 120amp?
Thanks in advance,

The Powerwinch 912, according
The Powerwinch 912, the manual didnt seem to state a specific max draw current... but according to their website it uses a 60amp fuse. So really the draw current should always be less than 60amps unless something is wrong.
Either way, id use the 120A plug to be safe.

Thanks Mikey,Looked on there
Thanks Mikey,
Looked on there website and was I was thinking along the same lines, 50A would be borderline, 120A to be safe.
Was just wondering what others have installed,

The 50A connector will be
The 50A connector will be fine, its just the size cable that can fit into the small terminals may suffer volt drop over the distance from the batteries, and may get warm with high current draw which will also cause more resistance, so by running larger cable to avoid this, you will likely need the larger connector. Id go with some 100A cable and remember to include circuit protection at the battery end!
