I only ever sat in a 560c on the trailer. It was my ali of choice but decided to go with glass. One thing I wasn't sold on was the seating/standing position behind the cab - felt like hitting a bad bit of chop could send me over the side as the cab was well forward of the driving position.

I don't have a cuddy cab, but
I don't have a cuddy cab, but I've got a 535xs which is the centre console. I've fitted it with a minn kota and it is my bream machine but can also do open waters on ok days.
It's got a 90 hp Suzuki on the back and it absolutely flies and gets me to the hot spots in no time. Build quality is fantastic but it's the match to the trailer for 30 second launch/retrieves that I love the most. Time is always short with young kids, so I'd do a bream session on the swan for an hr or two on weekends. But if my launch/retrieve involved me getting my feet wet and taking half an hour, I wouldn't be getting out there much at all.
Over all a very solid boat. I think barcrusher has thought out the layout of these boats with fishos in mind.
I know it's not the 610 review you were after, but if its build quality and fish-ability, I don't think you can go wrong with a barcrusher. Gl with the shopping!

Barcrusher
Hi Piggy,
I have a 2006 560C which is the cuddy version you are talking about. The cuddy takes up a bit of room and I seldom use it, but having said that, the times it has been used, it has been awesome.
Build wise - its a very solid boat. Yes it does pound occasionally when you hit the wrong wave, but having a plate boat in the past, the noise and feel is totally different in the BC. Triangulation under the deck plus a deck whic is welded in spots to the frame work underneath gives it rigidity.
Boat handling is very good and it loves to land back in the water after half the haull is off the wave. Thats when the cutting ability of the hull comes to fore.
Features are OK for mine but the new boats have everything you would ever want included in the price. Trim tabs are important and they have a catch for the drive on tralier.
I think the 615 is my model as the LOA for mine is 610. I have 100 Yammy 4 and find it perfect (not underpowered as most people will think).
Deck space is good with about 1.5m from back of seat to back corner. There is also space to fish next to the throttle if you are skinny enough like me. Kill tank is big and functional and I have an extension shade behind the hard top.
The whole hard top plus windscreen folds down for long trips and was a dream on our last trip to Exmouth last month.
Hope all this info helps in your decision.

I Love my 560C
Hi Piggy,
I have a 2007 560C, I like having the cuddy cab as it handy to store things out of the weather and a good place for the kids to sit and play (Four Boys aged 3 to 8), It isn’t really big enough for overnighters but suits my needs.
One of the most under rated items is the trailer, they are a custom built trailer which means driving on and off is really easy. This makes it really easy to launch and retrieve on my own because with four kids the wife needs to keep her eye on them instead of helping. Even if you approach the trailer at 45 deg the boat will straighten and ride on really easy. The trailer is also designed so that it will always sit on the rollers, if it is right on the edge of the rollers it can sit on the piss a little but nothing to extreme.
Almost everything about the boat is of a really high quality, the deep vee gives you a really good ride, I have been caught out by a storm or blow up along way from the boat ramp a few times with all the kids and wife in the boat and still manage to make it back to the boat ramp without much fuss from them. It is the closest thing you can get to glass without the glass.
There is some small things that I don’t like but none of these would stop me from buying one, the window is a bit too small, the hinges come loose over time and the window will move about (I bolted mine to stop this, I leave the roof and window up when towing and don’t notice the difference.
I take mine out to the Monties from Fortescue, launch it from the beach at Ningaloo Station, Go crabbing up the creeks and head 90km offshore from Dampier. I have been in some really ruff weather and never felt that the boat couldn’t handle it. I love the boat so much that my next boat will be the 680HT or 780HT.
I have a Yamaha 115 4 stroke which at 5,800rpm will push the boat at 30Knots, at 4500rpm it will cruise at 25 Knots if the weather is nice. I tend to travel along way and we have the Dampier archipelago islands to hide behind on the way in and out so if I was to buy a new one I would want a 150, my mate has a 610WR with a 150 Verado which does 38 Knots plus.
If you end up getting one I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Cheers,
Dave

Research
Hey Guys,
I have been doing more research into the barcrushers and they are actually pretty reasonably priced. You can get a 670c with all the fruit (HDS10, trim tabs, radios, 150 yammi ect) for around $80k.... Thats a pretty good price considering the cheapest I could get a 620 coraline or genesis for is around $85k.....
Whats everyones thoughts? if you had $80k spare would you buy one?
Cheers

Sure
I like the Barcrusher but considering where I live and fishing styles I prefer a side console.
If I lived south (cold) or was resticted to predominantly Bluewater and I had to consider a C, CC or HT then Barcrusher would be in the top three.
I would also consider a Surtee's and these hull's are where Barcrusher originate from, and seriously look at Stabi.
Otherwise go an older Noble (pre 2009), their hulls are the Shite!
As above, if I had to change boats due to location then I would be hunting a pre 2009 Noble, preferrebly Centre Cab as my preference.

Same comments as above
2008 560c 115 Etec Dual axle trailer with lot's of extra's !
I haven't been in a better riding ally hull yet, and very safe in very average conditions !
The harder you drive these boats, the better they perform to their strengths.
Too many pro's too list, but these are the con's :-
- windscreen height too low for the average height bloke - 5'9''
- could do with trim tabs
- not much in the way of dash space for the passenger - " this is from the mr's - wouldn't know myself !! "
Hope you find what you are looking for Piggy !

Yeah agree with the other
Yeah agree with the other comments I've got the 560WR CC (610WR now) fitted with a 150 yammy 4stroke. I have added the ballast flap so you can hold the water in for added weight which works well. Only things that are a bit annoying is having to fill them from inside not the gunnel and the fuel sender is at the front so doesn't really give a true fuel reading but I just use my yammy gauges. If I get a bigger one later I would get rid of the kill tank and make it a bigger fuel tank if they can do it. I do like the look of the new boat catch would make it easier not that it is difficult to launch by myself atm.

If you can pick one up
If you can pick one up cheaper than a genisis or coral line you would be mad not too as the of ride and handeling of them wouldnt even compare to a BC.

Zac C..... The one I have been looking at has the ballast flap aswell.... It also has a 270 litre fuel tank and no kill tank... the kill tank in the 610 looks pointless because it is so small!!
The trailer comes with the boat catch, but im not sure of its benifits as I have never used it. But looks like a good idea
When you use the ballast flap do you use it when travelling? how much difference does it make and how often do you use it?

The thing that kills me about
The thing that kills me about the ballast flap is this;
Ali
Good: usually saves you a few horses in the donk dept, because it is lighter
Bad: the ride isn't as good, because it is lighter.
Now, if you make your boat heavier, do you size the boat for running around with the keel flooded all the time? Bye bye savings - you may as well buy glass!
The flooded keel is a way around a problem with lighter ali boats, deep-vs and at-rest stability. As ali boats are lighter, they may not weigh enough to displace enough water to get enough of the hull into the water to be very stable at rest.
Not knocking the Surtees and Barcrushers, I think they are great ali boats, just pointing out problems with having your cake and eating it too.

Its pretty simple really
Its pretty simple really Till.
leave the flap open all the time except
1/ if its shitty close the flap when tank is full
2/ if you need shallow draft close it when its empty
really not all that complex

Free surface effect
I be very wary about running with it half full of water because of the free surface effect where its going to slop to the lowest point when the boat rolls with the waves.

I do use will underway but
I do use will underway but only on the odd occasion when the weather turns a bit crappy 15-20knts, more due to the seas we get up here short windchoppy swell and probably only when I have to punch into it. I do see your point Till but I guess it is dependant on what you use your boat for, mine sits on the sand on shack/overnighters and I think an ali suits my purpose better. I guess with most trailerboats we have to make some compromises for what we each want in a boat.

Difference
Zac does it make a great difference whether you travel with it full or empty?
Till - as Zac just said I also prefer an ali as I will be beach launching ect... Pluss when I want to travel long distances to exmouth ect the ali boat weighs in around 1800kgs loaded where as a fibreglass the same size weighs over 2500kgs... Saves fuel towing!

Just out of interest
A mate has the 575 cuddy bar crusher with 115 yami and loves it, he traded up from a trail craft so the difference in ride is huge.
purley for interest on the difference in towing fuel used.
we did our yearly boys trip to exmouth last month, he tows his with a D4D hilux, i tow a 6.25 signature with 150 D4D prado. Saving in towing fuel for him is about 2.5 lt per 100km, so about $80 return trip perth to exmouth. weight difference about 500 to 600 kg.
Get trim tabs, the difference is huge, the hull can work to its full funtion with them, without it will bang when heading into anything coming in from the quarter, they also flatten out the boat at lower speeds, my mate has no room for trim tabs with the tm260 transducer on the back so has fitted a foil to help.
Cheers,
Jeff

Hey Mate cheers for that!! $80 is 2 cartons of red cans so add that up over a few trips and its quit a few bush chooks so its worth the saving!!
As for the trim tabs, the one that I am looking at has trim tabs on it so hopefully it will make a difference!

Yeah I opted for the Yamaha over the suzuki purely to the fact that Yamaha have a better reputation and they have been in the marine industry in Australia for a long period of time. Suzuki has been in the game and left when it got too hard and now they are back again.... but for how long, so that raises the question of reliable customer service and parts support.... Pluss a mate has a suzuki 175 and had nothing but troubles... been back to the workshop about 5 times for different reasons.
When you have a look at the specs of a Yamaha 150hp it is actually 160hp at the prop so in reality it only has 15hp less than the 175.. With the power the maximum rating for the boat is a 175 due to its light weight, so I cant see a 150hp having too much troubles getting it to 30+ knots without breaking a sweat!! As well as this the 6.2 coralines and southbounds ect all come with a 150 and they weigh more than the barcrusher.
I will definently post up pics when I get it

Im a fan of both yam and
Im a fan of both yam and suz-but where did you get the "160hp" from? Specs say quite clearly 150 at propshaft?
Does sound a little like the salesman spiel that the YamF115 is 120hp and Suz DF140 is actually 128hp but no one seems to be able to point out the source?
