Barra Braids

Hi all, I'm going on a barra trip later in the year up to Wyndham and I am starting to gear up. I have the rod, the reel and a start on lures but I am looking for some better braid than I've got. i was wondering what are some good 15lb braids you all use or recommend? Any help would be great, Cheers

I run 12lb Sunline on the Chronarch for lure flicking.

Love them both, smoooth as!

I have heard for a better braid on a budget Fins is pretty good?

i ran 30lb and 20lb fins, both spin reels. 30lb for live bait ( baitrunnner ) as you let them run a little ( got very close to snags so needed the pull power ) and 20lb for trolling flicking. i also used those same reels in perth so it made sense for demersals saved me buying new braid when home.

The Barra up that way can be very big, I would be looking for at least 30lb braid. It wont lessen the experience on the smaller fish and will give you a chance if you get that big girl !!! Your asking for trouble going with the lighter stuff IMO.

Ok thanks heaps guys that has given me more of an idea!!! I will be using a calcutta 200b and will mostly be flicking lures around and I have heard before to go lighter for lures for casting distance and heavier for livies. Might have to buy a second outfit :P

+1 30lb bionic. Caught all of mine on that and pulled big buggers out of snags without it snapping. It lasts years.

The lighter braid I use 30lb fins on all my reels up here, can still cast a fair distance with it and you also never know when bigger fish will show up.
