Batten down the hatches

According to the BOM radar 100 km winds are approaching Rottnest.
I don't how Dreamwaver is going down south, but they were predicting snow for his area.
Don't think I will be fishing of Hillarys south wall today.
All the best, Colin Hay

Still here guys! Climactic prognosis
Thanks for the concern Colin !
Hell was forcast, but didn't eventuate. I think Mount Barker (50 or so clicks 'up the road ' from Albany) doesn't cop the severity.
Climactic prognosis:
We have greater temperature drops due to continentality, but Albany suffers the maritime effect due to coastal proximity. Origraphics plays an equal part in both locals due to the presence of comparative geographical uplifting.
(My geography teacher would be SO proud of me)

How'd you do that?
Colin, how do you get the wind speed off BOM radar. I can only find the rain rate?
Just one last drop.....

You lucky buggers
My place is on the back of the Naturaliste ridge and being part of an old horse stud, the only sizeable trees are downwind of the house and all the trees i have planted upwind are only 2m high. Heres hoping as i have just replaced a section of ceiling after the last storm. And it is hard to get a good nights sleep with a husky cross, a terrier mongrel and 2 cats shitting themselves under the bed.

Radio said it was mainly hitting the southern suburbs like Riverton/Palmyra, so doesnt sound like the north is as much affected (e.g. around Joondalup)

The freeway
Drove down the kwinana several times today around canning bridge, the river looked like the ocean and there were waves braking on the freeway that were nearly surfable.
