battery gauge

 hey all,

i have a newly acquired tinny with a 50hp Honda...electric start...sounder...lights...stereo and am wondering (concerned) about monitoring the battery use.

any suggestions on best way to do this? are portable gauges sufficient or better to look at wiring in a fixed gauge and if so, is that fairly straight forward?

anyone else have a similar set up or addressed the same thing?

Appreciate any advice.

 cant you pull start it?
If so theres no real issue to worry other than repeatedly draining the battery

From personal experience I would recommend to pull start your motor atleast once. Or atleast make sure you have the required tools to remove any covers to gain access to the flywheel. I know it's off topic but a simple 10mm socket could save a lot of heartache

Sounder

Yep. Most sounders have a voltage display option so will be just as good as a seperate volt gauge

As Neil says some also have an alarm you can set as well

Yep, will have a slight volt

Yep, will have a slight volt drop due to the wiring size to the sounder but minimal. Most newer sounders you can select to show on screen all the time. What sounder do you have we may be able to help ?
