At least you've done the right thing and had it removed. Are you sure it's not from your wife when she discovered the real cost of your new boat?!!. Cover up people.

Agree a very good personal safety learning that...,

Fri, 2021-05-21 09:02

Over the past 30 or so years have had about 15 cut out from my back, arms, face, neck...all various sizes, a mixture BCC's and SCC's.... most took about 30+ years to surface .... I'm no orphan, the damage was done early in my youth ...all in the late 60's sitting on the surfboard, day in day out, just boardies and no sunscreen....  Most recent event under the knife was December last year ..... I'm sure there's still more to come...

Message for todays Kids .... listen to Mum and Dad !

 all the studies shows that

Fri, 2021-05-21 13:34

all the studies shows that with proper moisturising - thats like the cheap nivia cream every night , no need for the expensive stuff - existing issues, short from full agressive cancers will not get worse, and it gives the most protection for growths recurring that has been removed, it starts witha  small bit of the ear or the nose -ends with a massive hole, the moisturising cream stops the damage at the first operation- moisturise like a chick-there s nothing wrong with it  ;p

studies by Qld health , WA health univ of qld and WA, there are more

its better to start it before damage occurs - so slip slap slop etc -, but then make sure to moisturise after sun

once u have had 1 taken out - u really need to start doing something about it- skin cancer can kill in less than 5 months

Rather timely indeed

Fri, 2021-05-21 15:46

I don't visit the doctors regularly but on Tuesday this week I had an appointment with a GP to check out a patch of skin discolouration on the back of my hand.  Within seconds she said that's gotta come out, it's a melanoma.   All being well it will be removed next week by a dermatologist.

Ouch! Good thing you got it sorted, was it picked up at a checkup or something you noticed didn't look right?
