Now, I was told there are good GPS called TomTom's an I looked em up but dammed if I know whats good an whats stupidly expencive for no reason. Anyone got an idea please?

the cheapest ones are good
the cheapest ones are good enough -either tomtom or garmin (+-80)
the extra features of dearer models imo aint worth it

TomTom
I have one of the smaller, in car, models.
Dont use it a hell of a lot but the built in store really does help when you visit a place once a year.
I have not upgraded the maps for years so if you are heading for a new area, newly built up, then it has problems so try to get a deal with map upgrades included.
