Berkley Nitro Elevator Jig Heads

Hey Guys and Girls,
Just a question to anyone thats used the nitro elevator jig heads.
Are the hooks that come with both the 4oz and 2oz jigheads good enough for using with 7 inch Bullhead McArthys and 6" paddletails
The gape of the hook is quite small and so is the shank length. Do these factors effect hookup rates? and should i upgrade them to the bigger elevator hooks?
Cheers Duffman

The hooks are way too small,
The hooks are way too small, I have used them on 7 inch McCarthys but they are really too small for even that size. OK for 6".
I got some larger Nitro elevator hooks from The Tackel Shop on Whitfors ave last nite.....been looking for them for ages to fix this issue as I want to run 8 inch plastics on them....finally solved! Other option is to just put bigger standard hooks on, but hard to find hooks with long enough shanks, plus they dont have the serated holder on the shank to keep the softy on......the nitro hooks have all this.
