You can't buy bottles to keep . Spotlight used to have disposable tanks but not sure if they still do them . But they also hire the bottles and regulators cheeper than BOC .

They hire the bottles for 5 days then it's $2 a day for each day after that. The deposit is only $50 so after 25 days overdue there wouldn't be any incentive to hand it back. I don't know if they would try and hunt you down for it though.

Spot light is cheeper
Spotlight is cheeper yes . But as you see on there site the bottles belong to BOC . If you keep a bottle it would be of no use after it was empty. you wouldn't get anyone to refill it .
The reason they are cheeper than BOC is, you need an account to get refills and they charge you a minimum 30 day rental on the bottle. Spotlight pay yearly rentals at a discount and then only charge you a 5 day rental rate + any over due amounts.
If you keep the bottle , Spotlight report it as stolen so when you go to refill or hand it in BOC might take leagle action. Not having a go at you but just saying, gone are the days when you could own bottles and get refills without a problem .

Spotlight and Toys R Us sell
Spotlight and Toys R Us sell the "Party Time" disposable helium tanks.
They are $60 and one tank does about 5 60cm ballons (give or take). Also comes with 30 party sized balloons and the Toys R Us ones come with stickers for the balloons :P

To Hire
Spotlight is the cheapest and easiest place. They also dont sting you too much for keeping it an extra couple of days if you need.
