I use about 8m of rope tied to the front of the boat, push the boat off and hang onto the rope, turn the boat around, tie it to the jetty and then take the car and trailer back to the parking area. When retrieving, watch where the wind is coming from and have it so the wind is pushing you towards the jetty, that way you dont have to get out deep and try and straighten your boat if the wind is pushing it out into the open when getting it back on the trailer.

heavy boats cant be done that easy.

Cant push mine off, i drive off drive on. Quite simple, except when you dont put the boat far enough in the water and you look like a tool :)

i agree Bodie 7.5m+ boats can be trouble at the ramp by yourself!! ha ha don't i know!

hahaha yeah i can manage my big boat at a proper ramp ... but there aint many of those down here :(

There's no problems with a 7m cat drive off and drive on and thanks to the boat latch.

If on a beach launch, I put my anchor on my back corner (wind corner) and then set it out about 10m from the beach and that way it will stay where you want it.  Saves your boat being beached if there is tidal/swell surge.  If its a heavy boat then its near on impossible to get it off the sand if it beaches itself.

As Frank has said, if you've got a decent size boat then you can't go past the boatlatch.

When retrieving, just have a long enough stern rope so you can control the boat from the winch if you need to bring the back around.
