Well this would be fun - and certainly worth a try around some shallows reefs which hold good numbers of snapper
It went 20lb and was taken while popping for Kingies

i got one at abrouhls a while back bait casting a dead herring in 30mtrs deep it smashed the bait as soon as it hit the water
never thought it was a snapper
well done on a nice snappy
getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

Try this though, its another pinky on stickbait-ish gear, a Richter Plug. This is Mark Richter from Richter Lures with a stroppy little pinky. Pretty sure this was from WA.

That sure is a nice pinky but has the look of half Pinky/Spangly. Very pointy head.
