Big Snapper Run

What is the peak time of the year the snapper run in Cockburn sound?

Some one was saying the other day october is the time to be out the channel & stragglers, but watch out as they are followed by big Noah's..

Would be keen to spear my first pink. THe last International freediver mag was on about how dificult they are to spear due to the flat ground..

timid buggers

hard to spear alright. very, very timid, especially the bigger ones. quick as all buggery too.

best bet is to burly hard, and often. dont waste your time stalking them. let them get used to you, and dont pay them any attention. then when they are confident you arent a threat to them, put a spear through its skull.

There are the migratory fish, but still good numbers of resident schools. Having worked on the shorefront, there would only be a small number of good days to target pinks in thier known locations. Otherwise it gets very cloudy and you spend your time just waiting to see what emerges rather than hunting.

I rekon best bet is to stick to what Scotto said and feed em plenty of burley. Just another distraction and they cant help themselves.

Find them very hard to spot in poor vis. Amazingly well camouflaged over sand
