Billfish Grand Slam
Hey guys just got back from a trip chasing blue marlin in Exmouth with Josh from Onstrike - we scored some awesome weather with complete glass offs most days and some solid fish around!
I was lucky enough to land my first ever billfish grand slam for the trip catching an estimated 200kg blue marlin, a small black marlin and a solid sailfish!
We also got onto another small black and a blue of around 150kg or so with both blues being really fat healthy looking fish.
Got some great footage of the big blues up close and have combined it with the rest of my footage from over the years to make a highlight vid - really put a lot of time & effort into it and am pretty stoked with how it turned out if you want to have a look you can find that here:

Thanks mate all footage was taken with GoPro Hero 3's and I use Adobe Premiere Pro to cut it all together.
If you're doing some filming yourself im happy to PM ya a few tips & tricks ive found over the years that help get the best out of the GoPro's while fishing!

Thanks mate, Exmouth's certainly a special spot! The royale with cheese is still a looong way off havn't got a striped marlin or swordy under my belt yet. The grand slam wasn't IGFA official either just a personal one over 48hrs for the trip although it was mighty close landing a black and blue before raising a striped and a sail on the way home and landing a sail the next day, definitely an awesome stretch of water out there!

Yep definitely would have seen a good chunk of it before as I cherry picked all the best bits out of all my footage to make this "best of" clip... countless hours and a solid half a terabyte of footage reduced into 5 minutes haha. Gonna be a while before ive got enough fresh stuff for a whole new clip so thought id go all out with this one!
I actually jumped the gun a little on uploading & sharing, have tweaked a few things since and added in some cool new underwater FAD footage so will update it with the final polished version later tonight. Stay tuned!
