Bloody BIg NUDI!

Well trust me to catch something weird and wonderful at eshed. As far as i can tell its called a nudiblanch or something like that.
Anyone know exactly what it is? I carefully took the hook out and it started spilling bright purple blood everywhere.
I got it back in the water asap. Hope it lived.

actually, yeah.
if it is a sea hare, cervantes/jurien/green head, etc have always got quite a few of them washed up on the beach, and they are really, really toxic to dogs, and ingesting them can kill them pretty quickly.

this is a photo of a true
this is a photo of a true nudibranch and they are around 5 centimetres in size so definitely think yours is a sea slug which are a different group. A nudibranch has its gills on the outside hense the name makeup. They come in all sorts of colours, not just orange and blue but that just happens to be the colours of the one I took this photo of.
