my question is.
is there anyone in australia who just sell the plans i have been surfing the net but have not found alot.
or is there anyone who can draw plans if i explain what exactly i want.
cheers

Tony
Give Tony a call at Alucraft down in Henderson. He has a heap of different computerised plans for all size of boats.
He can also do all the cutting of the sheet so all you have to do is put it all together

Alterations
If you want to make changes to the beam, deck level , whatever he has a program that can show you the results straight away and all they do is key it in to the cutter and bang there is your boat all cut out ready to weld together

Most places won;t sell you
Most places won;t sell you plans, because you could then redo them again and again and again. Instead they prefer to sell you cut metal.
There is plate alloy boats australia, but they ship out of Melbourne, so thats too expensive.
There is also http://www.nomadmarinekits.com but they don;t seem very helpful and wouldn't even tell me the deadrise in their boats.
Then there is another Perth local, GMD; http://www.marinekits.com/catalogue.php?id=85
And another; http://www.bruyndesign.com/index_orig.htm
And these guys are USA/QLD based; http://www.specmar.com.au The good thing about specmar though, is they just send the cutfiles through to onesteel and you pick it up with a truck. Their 1327 Hull is a nice design, bit smaller than what you want though ;)

have a read of the latest
have a read of the latest F&B magazine (Australian Fisherman & Boatowner) - theres a good article in there about a guy who built one based on what I think was a Bruyn Design. He pretty much rounded it up saying that he wont ever do it again because of how much time it took and lots of hassle and that he would rather just buy off the shelf....
But if you have connections in the boat building industry then you could be better suited to doing it.

One off
Got mine built by Tony at Alucraft, he had a 4.7 metre plan, I think it was plan and we extended it, widened, raised the sides and deck level to make it self draining and though it sadly didn't work out, fitted a diesel/ jet unit. Removed the jet and fitted a full width platforn across the stern to mount the 60 Etec so nearly anything is possible if you sit down with him.

Plenty of custom builders in WA. Goldstar is one of the best.

Boat Plans
Hi
First time user so I hope I do this right. Saw your question about boat plans for building your own boat. Steve at Bruyn Designs can help you here. I'm the bloke with the boat in the latest f&b. I can tell tell you there is no greater pleasure than going to sea in a boat you have made. You can save a heap of cash while you are at it. As I said in the article i would never do it again dont need too I have the boat I want.

hi Michaelthanks for you
hi Michael
thanks for you comments
what size did you buy. did you buy it all pre cut and just weld it or did you buy the plans and get it cut and shaped yourself.
what are some of the dramas you had doing it?
i will have to have a read of your article.
