Help-URGENTLY need skipper & boat or just hire boat for Rotto Swim

Hi. Would anybody (or anybody you know) be interested  in skippering or hiring out an appropriate boat for the Rotto Swim on the 26th of Feb 2011? We (team of 4 females) are looking for something quite urgently following our current boat arrangements falling through. Our team has invested a lot of time and money so far and we really don't want to have to pull out : (  We need something at least 6m long that can carry a minimum of 6 people - that said, beggars can't be choosers so we would take what ever we could get and we would pay all expenses plus a generous hire and skipper fee. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks, Steph.

I have a 6m half cab that would not be perfect for you guys (not huge and minimal shade), but I could certainly make it and myself available. It has been to Rotto many many times without drama. Pic is in my avatar. Let me know if you want to book it in.

Hi Cammos - your offer sounds like a good start since we have nothing. How many people can it hold because we have 4 swimmers (1 swimmer will always be in the water) and 2 paddlers (1 paddler will always be in the water)? Have you ever skippered for the swim before?

It can seat 6 on the deck, but not much room left for anything else, I assume there would be some stretching and the like required. I have never done it before but I am normally up for anything.

As I say, I am happy to fill the gap if no other offers become available, but in my opinion a bigger boat would be a better fit. Indiana maybe?

Thank you for your willingness. As you say - a larger boat to cater for stretching swimmers and their gear would probably be more suitable.  I would very much like for you to be our backup in case things don't work out - I will let you know if this ends up being the case - thank you so much : )  AJ's boat looks like it could very well be a go if he isn't rostered on to work!

 Hello Steph

I have a 7.1mtr centre console that has plenty of room and can carry 9 and plenty of gear.

I am not sure if I am here on the 26th and would need to check my roster.

If you are still looking for a boat give me a call on 0427774206.

Regards

AJ
