More expensive
but my mate has the cork flooring on his boat.. Cool in the sun. not slipperry at all and very easy to clean.. No guts and scales caught in carpet..
Will be replacing my floor with it soon..

paint with sand mixed in it
paint with sand mixed in it :)
great for grip and nothing gets caught in it .. but you need a self draining deck so you can throw a bucket of water over it on a hot day ..

Phoenix Paints in
Phoenix Paints in O'Connor sell a rubberized deck paint that works a treat, waterbased and easy to use, non slip and cool under foot, very hard wearing as well.

you would have to rough the gel coat up!!
with some 80 or so grit paper, wipe off, and apply the first coat brushing one way, out of direct sunlight and apply the second coat brushing the other way, again out of direct sunlight. Wax and grease remover is probably the best way of wiping your deck clean!! There are other directions for use. Its on the can!!

marinedeck 2000
I used to install Marinedeck 2000 for Stazo marine when I was in the boat building game and its great stuff. Heaps better than teak in my opinion and even tho I used to get alot more for laying teak decks I'd recommend cork, I wouldnt hesitate putting it down on my own boat. Give Joe Moore from Stazo Marine a call, he will sort you out with an installer mightymouse
