Club Marine were great to me after having a boat written off and paid out in full. Took a little while however the result was a positive one.
Given that my risk / claims history wasnt brilliant the premiums were skyrocketing so I shopped around and ended up with YOUI. I even went back to Club Marine with the YOUI policy schedule and pricing to see what they could do and in their words, they said the policy was Apples for Apples and they could not match it.
Saved me $1200 a year.
Haven't needed to claim from YOUI and I hope I have no need to so cannot comment on claims processing.
I was paying around $2100 per year based on insured value of $140K with a bit of a nasty claims history from the previous boat. ( Current insured boat is Bertram 35 Twin Diesels Gen set etc etc Penned boat)
Now paying $828 per year same nasty claims history (unfortunately).
Pretty happy with the saving and based on your premium Rob H I am happy with what seems to be a reasonable deal.
Been with club for 15 years. Made one claim for a broken bimini.
Not sure about other insurers but Best thing about club is you can go direct through a platimum dealer: ie chivers marine or alike if the claim is under $5000
, they deal with everything. No need to speak with accessors, just pay your excess direct to them.
Also if you have so many claim free years you accumulate point. Enough points and you can get 1 claim a year that wont effect you NCB.

Nautilus, easy to deal with,
Nautilus, easy to deal with, good price, and have had to swap layup months many times over the years due to swing changes with no hassles.
Never made a claim yet though so no wonder they love me
