Boat recommendations

Hey guys looking at upgrading the boat soon and wondering if anyone knows something that will fit my needs.

Usual good fishing boat qualities will be a must (good dry ride and stable at rest) would prefer a walkaround but a runabout with large deck area will suffice or even a center console with a console big enough to keep a couple people dry from a howling southwester.

Shed dimensions are 2.7 x 2.7m (door) and 7m long, from what ive seen around 5.7m will be the biggest that fits. Will be looking at both glass and ali.

any ideas on what will fit my needs???

the trophys are both nice boats, im not sure if the LOA (on trailer) will be under 7m

If i had to put down a price i dont want to go much more than 50k and deffinately prefer a 4 stroke!

 I looked at the southwind

Tue, 2013-01-15 07:27

I looked at the southwind 560wr / lewisboats 590wr / southernstar 590wr (all same hull) when researching my boat. I found that the front walk around was too small for anythin usefull and with no cabin hatch a bit crap to anchor in the rough stuff. Also  freeboards a bit low. the etec 115 is useable but ultimately underpowered for the deep vee hull. Lastly it is way too expensive. For that $$ as mentioned get a cruisecraft outsider 575 (the one with the walkaround)

Hey guys just another quick question, the length on trailer for a cruisecraft 575 is 7.3m, which is going to stick out of the shed by 300mm. Is it possible to get a swing away draw bar or customise an existing trailer to make it fit
Anyone had past experience with this?

Yeh spanish you can, dunbier

Sun, 2013-01-20 17:34

Yeh spanish you can, dunbier make one and they are legal, as long as your drawbar is 100x100 or 75x75 i think are the only sizes. American one or anything but aussie are pretty much a no go due to not adr spec.
