Bream fishing upper Swan

Hi All

Has anyone fished the upper swan, around Guildford lately? I’m looking at doing a SP Bream session this weekend and would like to know if anyone has had any recent results?

Cheers

Jarrod

3 weeks ago i hit guildford but found only 5-10 good size fish floating along the banks. It was an algal bloom aparently. Maybe the rain has dispersed it a bit give it a shot

Ascot to East perth has been producing fish for me lately. Few weeks ago i landed 3 nice fish with plenty smaller, biggest going 36 and hooking another i couldnt put the breaks on with 4lb

Saying that i only managed one last night.

Just park up and go for a walk, youll find a school soon enough.

Forget it bloke

My boy and I have been fishing Guildford for a couple of years and have found winter a waste of time.  The first decent rain comes and we leave it alone until mid spring.  PB bream was last summer at 46cm (released) at Fish Market Reserve.  The water was fresh enough for Redfin Perch and we hooked a poor old tortoise (dehooked, well pissed off and released) and salty enough for sized blue manna crabs (landed four on suicide hooks).  Went down last weekend just to exercise the rod and reel, not a nibble.

Thanks mate, ill hold off until September. Ended up going to the moore river and scored a few bream. Plenty of fish in that river although the majority strggle to make 25cm!

Should've read this thread before i went

and flicked some SP's in the water between Bath St and Garratt Rd last week 4pm - 6.30pm. Donuts.

I've never been to that section of the river so it was nice to go for a lil explore. But from my results plus the advice above sounds like i needn't go back there til summer.

Cheers guys.
