Either or. I have Rareniums and the low gear ratio makes it great for a slow roll out of a snag but would rather a Stradic for popping on the flats for whiting

I really like my luvius 1003

I really like my luvius 1003 i think they call the smallest size. I wouldn't buy one new tho coz $450 for a bream reel isn't my kind of fun. Keep an eye on the bream forums and see what the gurus use and even grab a bargain. But as for a stradic or rarenium both are great reels. I've been running w stradic ci4 2000 and 1000 for the past 5 years still nailing bream and going strong.

I posted a question on here in 2018

 about something similar.

Asked about replacing a Sustain vs CI2 Stradic. I always had Sustains previously for exactly that work living in Mandurah. Chose the Stradic for price and now I dint even use the Sustain's as I just love the CI4.
