Hahaha, your Dhuis are safe Clint. Got these a fair bit south from where you took me. Dont know if you remember where i told you i usually go? Well thats where i was. Like i said not to comfortable straying to far from the shore in my boat, just incase the weather springs up.
Dont be to disheartened mate. I caught 9 undersized Dhu'is before i got my first legal one back in 2003. Took six years of trying before i got him, my first legal. And since then i have still only got 10 legal ones over 8 years. Guess my boat has just been lucky this year, what with all the other uncommon catches other people are having too
Persistance, persistance and more persistance. And spend a GOOD amount of time searching for new ground. Dont just keep going to 'regular' spots. Since Jan i have added about 20 new spots to my inventory of likely Dhui locations to fish, and all not to far from shore.
Oh yeah forgot to state my mates old man that got the 13.5kg and 9.8kg Dhuis has only ever caught 2 legal Dhuis before, both barely legal from his tinnie with the last being in 2000. He had an 11 year spell from Dhui's! Great way for him to get back into it to!
