Brucesta's New Boat - Las Vegas
Well i wasn't going to buy a new boat until we sold one of our houses but this beasty came up and i couldn't pass it up. I decided not to go new again as that was just a hassle and really for the price i paid i've saved a bunch, I was set on a new Chivas 206 in a centre cab config then it got too expensive, the mrs then found a second hand Mustang Tournament locally here which looked the goods and i made enquirys but after reading on the net the early hulls weren't very dry at all, something i'm trying to get away from so out of sheer curiosity i went searching for other 5.8m-7m boats in a centre cab config and sure enough this came up.
Purchased new in 2010 the hull is a little older but the motor has 40 hours on it, all the options ticked and at a very good price at $74000 after negotiation, he was selling due to his want to permanantly have a boat in the water (lives on the dawesville canals) and so he didn't want a trailer up the side of the house and then have to antifoul the boat, he originally purchased it after owning a 685 outsider but he wanted a smaller boat to tow north which never happened. bank approved the loan and i'm off to do the paper work this weekend while i'm down and then pick it up the following weekend after another long drive in the 4x4.
I've named the boat Las Vegas as i was lucky to see it, took a gamble on getting the finance and won and now to roll the dice on catching some fish.
pics below.

Towing the boat back to K-City next weekend. I'll be towing it with my T/D Pajero but the trip from Perth will be with a V8 'Cruiser.
Some specs
200hp Yamaha with 40 hours on the clock, 195L fuel tank (a little small), Northstar M84 combo GPS/Sounder 8.6 inch screen and 1kw trans, 50L fresh water tank, live bait tank, desk wash, shower, extendable rear shade, electric anchor, VHF radio, CD player, rear deck lighting, swing down targa, clears, electric braked trailer, portable toilet (don't tell the mrs) that's all i can remember off the top of my head as the ad online has been taken down.
Daisy i've told them already since i've stepped up in the boat world they need to show more flesh for the next trip

good value
I was looking at one also. Very nice piece of boat. For $74K, it's a great price. I coudlnt' find much under $80K at under 2 years old (and that was east coast) and with a 150hp motor, no fresh water etc and 600kw tran.
They look really good on the water. This machine will get you to 40 knots and doing it nice and smooth too!

Very very clean looking boat mate, doesnt look used at all.
Looks a good buy!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Cruisecraft
Brucesta
I have also bought a Cruisecraft, but the smaller 575. Still looking for a motor though.
Having owned a Seaswirl 2101DC previously I reckon CC's are finished off as well if not better and the electricals are definitely wired alot better.
Great looking boat.

yeah the only thing is the
yeah the only thing is the size of the fuel tank, the bloke isn't sure if it has the standard 195 or the optional bigger tank but i'm sure it's not hard to make a new one. Test drove it yesterday and did the paperwork so it's now my boat officially, handled the chop on the Estaury beautifully, didn't matter what position the bow was to the waves it was dry and ran nicely to 36 knots and cruised at 27 knots, speedy trips to the fishing grounds coming up!
