becos my main aim is to test

Tue, 2011-08-16 23:06

becos my main aim is to test the rod, if i keep having snap line, it doesnt serve the purpose, and if i am really using the stated poundage i will never break the rod.

if i am attending a tourni i will down size all my spec to maybe a 6lbs or even lighter.

in asia, i only using 4lbs braided for big queenie and mack

i know u are saying abt the line

i using 20lbs is to test the rod breaking point, if i am using the spec within the stated line poundage, it will never have the chance to max out and break it

but by loading over the limit and chasing fishes bigger then it stated, we are pushing the rods to it limits.

i not saying this rod cant break and i dont advice other fishos to do it this way

because we are tester for the rods and we like to learn more abt the rods so that we can improve it and thus bring better quality rods to end users in future

if any fisho looking for this rod, it is available on rack now at Ocean Side Tackle and Marine

Rod legnth

Tue, 2011-08-16 17:49

Hey Avion, been reading your threads on these rods....do they produce longer ones in the 6'6" to 7' range in the ultra light versions?? I do a lot of light line fishing and the extra legnth when throwing very light or zero weight plastics is a major advantage for casting distance. Let me know as if they do I may have to source one and have a go, cheers, Billy.

to seriously tell u, i got no idea about it, just that no one stops me so i carry on. always keep the place clean after used. and dont bother the ppl around. if i was told to leave i will do it.

i hope it is allowed.

billy.kidd

currently we are testing out the 6,2ft rods. full carbon rods seldom go to that length as usually they are 1pc rod

but u should try those 5,6ft ones that are available in oceanside tackle and marine. give it a go and try them out.

there not blackies mate ;). i personally find a mix of equal parts pollard flour and water is better for the buffies. I only ever fish the north wall for them though.
