busselton fishing report

hey everyone,

headed out to the 4 mile in busselton caught quite a few fish which included skippy, pink snapper, sambos, rays and sharks. was a fun day headed out at 3pm and on the first cast pulled up a snapper but was under by 5cm and a few more snapper after that but they all were just under. so we moved looking for the big one but came to a school of skippy and kept about 6 with the biggest one been 45cm, and then the big rod went off and there was a shark on the end of it, was it fun with it jumping fully out of the water 4 or 5 times then wraped it self around my mates anchor line it was about 2m. the last fish of the day was a few sambos that went about 15kg. all in all it was a plesant time out in the water since it has been a while. hope everyone who went out today got a feed. will be out tom.

thanks rocky

Hi All

I'm heading to Busso over this Chrissy/NY period (like many others). I'm after some good landbased spots and also have a couple Kayaks.

Where is hot for Tailor at the moment? Looking to spend quite a bit of time morning and night out trying to get some Tailor and any Mullas even sharks if they are around.

Will be staying near Broadwater and heard stories of Tailor being caught out the front of there, anyone else know if that part of the bay is any good?

Also what's the go with the Jetty. I have heard mixed reports. Some say you can't go on it, some say at night it's ok. And I have heard varying reports on how close you can be in a boat/yak - is it 50m, 100m, 150m?

Any hot spots or tips would be great.

Cheers
