Camping

 Hi all,

Just after some places myself and the girlfriend could get a way for a couple of nights of camping.

I have a 4wd. Looking for some where max 2 hours from Perth.

Hills? Beaches yanchep/ Moore river direction?

Thanks in advance

back of lanciline sand dunes

back of lanciline sand dunes is nice :) not windy either if you pick the right spot, however you have to go a little deep to evade the rangers..

Mind you everywere is illegal to camp these days...So I do it anyway, Thus the need for a 4WD

I sure as hell hope you respect the place better than most of the hoons and goons that get up there these days.

Not wrong about that, its not bad for an overnighter though just head away from all the sand bowl areas where they tear around.

Moore River is a great place to camp

Stay away from the beaches in the Wanneroo Shire as the rangers will nail you. Another piece of frendly advice is to respect the terrain and clean up after yourself. If you don't, you add to the risk of us all having to travel long distances to camp and even perhaps to pay fees.

Being an old fart it's way too cold for me to camp out at the moment LOL. I guess the g/friend could help but my missus sees camping as a place with a loo, spa, restraunt and bar LOL. Oh, I forgot Foxtel.....

Dwellingup, is really easy and cheap. Getting to busy now but still good. Plenty of places to 4wd swim etc etc ( No real fishing though)

It's just f^c#ed with the amount of red tape nowadays.   can't do this , can't do that!

I know it's dickheads wrecking it for everyone , but not being able to go camp up near wedge now is just crap.

Can't ride dirtbikes along the beach because of the fragile ecosystems , but they'll happily rip up the dunes all the way along the coast to build on.

Ba'h.

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.
