Sorry, wrong there the other wafl clubs opposed it. The local rookies this year will still play with their wafl club but the others will go to ep and pt. Next year they all go to these clubs.
The other clubs did not like it for many reasons.
No they only opposed it after the horse had bolted. They were all given an opportunity to bid for this. I have listened a few arguments about this from different clubs on the radio. The way it was done was shonky I agree but being a Royals supporter can't say I'm not unhappy

Footy and V8s startn up, love this time of year, carn horks! I hope we start the year well by breakin the cat hoodoo. One last crack at it this year I think, we prob woulda given the cats a better run in 2011 than the pies and we blew it last year....hard time of the year to tip winners.....guna be q bloody tight top eight come september
The only thing I really worry about with the Hawks is that mental aspect...the GF the obvious one and letting the Cats pip them at the post time and time again and that infuriating habit of just switching off for one quarter and not scoring...they did that three times against the Swans last year. The list does look good, Suckers is a loss, Young not that much of a loss (can kick long and that's about it) and Hawks play more than enough without Hodge in the last several years for it to be that much of an issue and seeing the next crop getting a good run in the preseason was good but I just hope that if things do go pear shaped, Clarko doesn't fall back on his bad habit of picking favourites even when they are out of form and denying guys like Dureya, Hill etc a chance to flourish.
Where's Randall???? Wonder if he painted his boat purple over summer haha. Derby opener will be a cracker. Injury prone Hawks???? We're just the most talked about club, any Hawk farts and the media is on to it. Weve got a big list of fit players, plenty of depth, selectors have a hard job. Gota feel for Suckers tho. Im hopin to see Richmond make the finals.....The Blues will prob play their best footy in the second half. Along with off field investigations its guna be an interesting few months

Half decent
Just need a half decent run with injuries this year and we'll be right up amongst it again.
Gotta feeling the hawks are gonna slide a bit this year.
