In Canada Part Deux
So I have been touring around Quebec and Montreal for the last 10 days and figured I would throw up some more photos for those interested. See the first post here : http://fishwrecked.com/forum/canada
We had a night in Toronto also, and will go back to do some more exploring, but still got a good feel for the city and went out to catch a Toronto Blue Jays game where we got seats in literally the last row of the nosebleeds with a bunch of Irish and Pommy blokes and were all having fun trying to work out the rules.
We got the opportunity for a free ride from Barrie, ON and back from the people we are staying with. Martin and his friend Ian are Machinists making stamp tools and dies for the auto industry and there is work in Sherbrook, QC for them so we hitched a ride with the guys and they dropped us off in Montreal on the way through.
In Montreal we stayed for three nights and had a great time touring around the city on Bixi Bikes, which are a bike station hire system where you can hire a bike for $7.00 Canadian a day from 400 stations around the city with 5000 bikes. You pick it up with a code and can ride around for 1/2 hour trips at a time and deposit the bike at a destination as many times as you like in a 24 hour period. We took in Old Montreal, the Basilica Notre Dame, The port and waterfront, Place Jacque-Cartier, Rue St-Dennis, Ile St Helene and Ile Notre Dame where we saw the Casino and the Biosphere.
We then jumped onto a bus to Quebec City where we have spent 7 days touring. The old city is wonderful with high walls, gate access and the Citadele. There are _heaps_ of top quality bars, restaurants, museums, antique shops, crafts and shopping. The weather was good when we arrived so we went all through the old town including many beers and a meal at Aux Anciens Canadiens which was built in 1675 where Jane had a Wild Game Pie and Maple Syrup tart, while I had a Bison Burger! Over the weekend it snowed and hit us with frozen rain(hail) which kept us indoors for a day or two. After the weather cleared we have been out to the Musee de la Civilisation to take in the Samurai exhibit, the Quebec Aquarium and today we went to the Huron Wendake First Nation musuem and resteraunt. We had a 3 cheese(fromage) tasting plate with Pistachios, Dried Berries and a meat tasting plate with Smoked Sturgeon, wild Mushrooms, Smoked Salmon and Caviar and Wapati(Deer) Jerky washed down with a Huron Beer called Kwe.
Off too the Choco Musee http://www.chocomusee.com/ and the Marche Du Vieux Port (Old Port Markets) tomorrow before taking the bus back to Montreal and another out to Bromont QC to be picked up by the lads on their way back to Barrie ON.

Agreed on the wings and hot sauce - just cant get them the same in Aus!
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.

Anzac day photos of my Grandfather from Perth
My Grandfather, Brother and Father. 95 and keeping it real.
The 2/43rd marching. My grandfather cannot march anymore, but watched the parade from the sidelines and had a great lunch with the family in town. Missed the day from over here, but greatly appreciated these shots. Can you see the family resemblance?

In Ontario
The dude who lives downstairs where we are staying is taking me out ASAP when I get back, so maybe this weekend. He has said the trout are all run backs at the moment and will get worse so he wants to take me out soon. We are on a 5 month semi working holiday. When I get back to ON I hope to work for our friend Shea at his dock making and installation business, see the original post for some pics of the work I have been doing with him already. Also have done some laboring jobs for his mates and might pick up some work on a farm through some other friends.
We are in ON for a friends wedding and will work (hopefully for 2 months) just to keep cash rolling in. We have savings for mortgage back home and the holiday so it was supposed to be just gravy money and all the better for when we get home. We have been away for three weeks, my uncle has passed away from cancer and our dog is being looked after by a friend of ours at our place has blown his cruciate ligament so anything we earn will help us out a fair bit to be able to pay them bills.
