canning bridge last night

whent canning bridge last night with a mate we didnt catch anything plenty of blowfish i seen another bloke from a distance catch i think a flathead and another bloke catch nice size whiting around 30-40 cm est
nice night out always better when you catch fish but ill keep goin bak there.

Love canning bridge, we go in morning usually and get a few bream on mussels, and strangly enough change to lures at 10:30am to catch a few tailor, that always seem to bite at this time.

tru cheers mate ill keep that in mind i tried finding some mussels last night but couldnt find em where are they? and also there were lots of baby prawns in the water they were easy to catch with just my hands but i put them bak in the water couldnt use them as bait i dnt think to small they were see through and all lol

yeah, when i left there at 6ish, there were so many people lining up with rods for mulloway. was much the same story at the narrows. didnt even out out a bait until 1am.

yer i dnt think the bloke should have had that much rods there he was tain up to much space and he was covering my favourite spot to fish

i always look on the pylons wen i first get there never found any maybe in the morning before others take them they will be there i dunno

going back 8 or 9 years ago
going back 8 or 9 years ago when i lived down that way there were plenty around the pylons, i would don the snorkel and mask to get the bigger ones from the bottom of the pylons but another guy that fished there would just use a gidgie to remove the mussels from the pylons from atop the platform, is there no more mussels around that area?

when i search for them I just
when i search for them I just climb to the pylons closest to where the boats come through and grab them off the pylons there. Be careful not to go down there when a boats coming!
