Canning Bridge Mulloway
Submitted by bowds on Fri, 2011-02-04 12:53
Hey guys,
Thinking about heading down to canning bridge tonight and targeting some mulloway?
Hopefully catch some smaller stuff with the flicky and then throw out a livebait.
Am i any chance of getting one at this time of year?
Can anyone give me some pointers or general info about that area and targeting mulloway in the swan? EG: best bait, times place etc

Swan Mulloway info.....
bowds, the new moon is good but the fullmoon our preference. C/Bridge is better Sept-Nov we find and then the Narrows from Dec-March.
We've done better on lures than bait but if you using bait a live trumpiter with a single hook in the tail is good.
Lures to use, McArthy SP ie 5 & 6 inch Paddle Tail. RMG Scorption 90mm minnow lures and Maria Bluecode Stickbaits 90mm.
Narrows is one of our fav spots, especially on a fullmoon, rising tide and calmer conditions when the mulloway are using the lighted area to crash boneys & baitfish.
