Cape Leveque - 2 day adventure

Following on from here - http://fishwrecked.com/forum/broome-story-so-far

Just got back from two days up at Kooljamin Resort at Cape Leveque, 2 hours north of Broome. Simply awesome! Whales could be seen breaching from the beaches and our safari tent the entire time. One afternoon and morning had me exploring the shallows of Eastern Beach encountering small trevally, queenies, cod and small reef sharks - one of which almost beached itself trying to eat my popper lol. Monday arvo we visited One Arm Point community with the Sunday Island group just offshore which was quite interesting - never seen anything like it. After only two days here and a week or so in Broome I'm well and truly hooked on the Kimberley!

There's a few...

Spotters vision

Eastern Beach

Leveque Island

Boat Ramp

A few of these around

Bozo cobe

Jologo Beach

Western Beach

I'll be back...

First fish on the new barra setup that cobe, certainly had me going for a remora amongst all those sharks, went hard for its size.

Awesome looking place.  I'm sure two weeks still wouldn't do it justice.  Great pics too.

You are still only on the front door step of the Kimberley too!

Cheers Pete

Special

One special spot and your pics sure do it justice, there is a beautiful little creek worth checking out a few k's up the beach (Hunters Creek) all sorts of fish stream through on the tides and its a great spot for mud crabs.
