Cheynes beach

Any word if the salmon are running down at Cheynes yet? Im looking at heading down in about 2 weeks time, Ive never really lured for them before so Im keen to give it a crack,I have halco 120 laser pros, gold n silver slicers and heaps of Sp's.Any tips on Cheynes as I have only been there once at Xmas time. Ive got a 4wd and drove the tracks around the place but wasnt game to leave ute so far from where I was fishing.

Should always have a chance

Should always have a chance of salmon along south coast. Should be able to drive on most beach's that way. normal rules applie as in tyres down and recovery kit handy. Watched a show a few years ago where Bushy & Starling were catching salmon on large salt water flies. Best of luck

The beach

From memory (it's been a while) you can get on the beach and chase the Salmon schools up and down. The water temp is still pretty warm for this time of year so I am not sure of what action is happening. As Wes F states it'

s always a chance down that way.

Hey Guys

There has been a few whispers, not many though.

You need to drive along cheynes and past the headland to bluff creek beach. Sometimes you can't get around the headland though and have to go up and over the dunes and around. the beach gets better further up (gutter close to beach) which is good for other species as well. Let your tyres down   :) Otherwise I will get bogged when I go next!
