Damn shame we missed out for tickets, would have been an awesome night out. Managed to see them come in at the airport though since Busso shire made special allowances for them to fly jets out of here at midnight, but after the skywest jet landed with all the punters coming down with a flight package deal hopped off that plane a second Skippers plane landed with Cold Chisel on it. That caught everyone by surprise. Managed a couple of shots with my cheap and nasty camera though. Local constabulary were waiting to take them down to Sandalford, lights and sirens on and a police bike escort.

Cold Chisel, I don't really hate them, but as long as you accept that they're the past, and its gone, then they're not so bad. Just pretend that they ceased to exist in about 1984. Barnes without Chisel is totally worthless.
Much like the horror that is john farnham, the accc should round you up and execute you if you try and play more than one round of last ever shows and chisel played theirs back in 1983.

it shirts me that a band with that much money is too tight to pay for proper security and support a bussiness the police should be policing or helping fight fires if they reallly dont have anything better to do not driving bands around

My My .. we are negative today....
Despite all the negativity here Cold Chisel are considered legends of Ozzie rock. Great to see them back, if only for a short while. If the demand wasn't there they wouldn't have bothered. Great to see money going to the local community down there at such a time of need. It's a shame the area is currently in it's yearly state of occupaion by as Matt said, the schoolies, toolies, dropkicks and bikers.
Some of the above knock Jimmie for his screaming. I will hazzard a guess and suggest the presence of the odd AC-DC albumn in your collection??? They screamed a lot but I would love to have a cent from every dollar they earn

Well last night was a ball
Well last night was a ball tearer. The boys have certainly still got it. It bloody went off. Only problem being the noise nazis being there so the sound was a little quieter than I was expecting. Apperently Belvoir has a 93dB limit placed on it. All of their other shows have been run at 110dB. I've been to several dance shows ( vibes on a summers day, etc ) and the sound has been so much bigger and louder. Even James Brown was allowed to play louder than that. But an awesome show. One I wont forget for a long, long time.

bloody awesome night
went to johnny farnham wednesday and he is such a great entertainer and funny as all hell! then chisel sunday and they were awesome! pity they ran out of bourbon early and the lines for alcohol where huge! the lead up to chisel was pretty crap! and i didnt see any fights either! only one bloke dragged out by his ear after climbing the speaker tower!!

On the news now that the police driving chisel down to Sandalford have been busted for speeding up to 45kmh over the limit, which constitutes hooning. Doesn't surprise me at all as they left the Busso airport at a 100mph. Intersting to see where this goes now.
