Totally different rig. The chivers predator are a glass boat.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Pacemaker
I asked Luke about these a few years ago and he said the bottom is off a pacemaker. I know some blokes in Bunbury that have one and they say it rides really good.

Hey Jimbo,The Longreach is
Hey Jimbo,
The Longreach is the exact same hull as the standard Predator but there were less of them built. Difference is that the Longreach had a decent size cabin up from versus the basic runabout. Crano is right that it is derived from a Pacemaker hull. The Predator hull was a completely faired and extended version of the Pacemaker which did not have a particularly straight or symetrical hull. They are built like a tank and the Pacey hull was a pretty good one so they ride very well. Stability could be better but they are no worse than an older Haines Hunter hull for example (in terms of stability). I can't think of any good reason not to but one of these boats! My last though is that the outboard would preferably be 150HP or higher. I do recall that many of these boats had the Honda BF130 fitted which still performed OK (this was about as big as 4-Strokes cam back in the early 2000's).
Cheers,
Luke

hey mate
Im looking at a 2000 built chivers predator (longreach i believe as it had a decent cabin). Can you shed some more light on how that model was built in terms of stringers/transom and floor?
Was is all timber?
Also i used to own a haines hunter 580SF, would you say the predator would be similar in stability?
The model im looking at has a 150 evinrude fitch (huge let down), so i would look at repowering, any idea on Max HP and weight?
Thanks!

Hi Luke, I have recently
Hi Luke,
I have recently purchased a Chivers Espirit 6.2 Centre Console, you may know the boat, it lived in Mandurah the past 12yrs. I actually live near your yard, will be servicing it with you in any case. Is this, as above, the predator hull? She's bloody solid...
Any other history of this model would be very much appreciated! I called in last week, but you were out and about.
Cheers,
Tim
