Chopper Tailor in Nedlands

Just a quick report, I caught a good number of decent sized Chopper Tailor in Nedlands on poppers last..... but also had a reminder that even the small ones have a set of sharp teeth.

It's always the undersize

It's always the undersize fish that get me. Bloody flathead are the worst. Lucky they come with their own antidote on their bellies.

Ouch... I always carry pliers to unhook these guys..

I also fish the Nedlands foreshore but found the tailor shutdown on the weekend. Previously had great sessions on surface lures around sunset.

you getting any oversize? The ones I encountered were all mid-20cm models... Still good fun though!

I carry my pliers around for

I carry my pliers around for this exact reason, however I was a little bit over excited as I have never caugh anything on a popper (I was begining to think it was myth) and just grabbed it without thinking :P

I have caught a number of 30 to 35 cm Tailor there, but none since about April.
