Christmas tree full of memories
Here’s one for all with new families, since the birth of our first child we every year buy a decoration for them, most have a photo in them of the child they were bought for, when the kids were old enough they pick their own .Over the years we have a great collection of family decorations (photo’s) on the tree, every year its great putting all the decorations on the tree, seeing the photo’s, everyone has a good time and some laughs. Now come time for the kids to move on ,they will get their decorations to put on their tree and start adding their children’s photo’s ,and so on .Over some years would end up like a family tree .Just thought I would share this with you especially the ones with new families ,Merry Christmas

HI Paul G that is a great
HI Paul G that is a great idea. We keep all of the decorations the kids have made over the years and put them on the tree. My parents did that for me and they still have all of the little things I made when I was a kid. It is a real spin and does have some great memories. Our kids love getting out the decorations and remembering what they have made.
So we don't have a designer matching Christmas tree with co ordinating colours but instead a tree covered in hand made decorations and bits and pieces.....we wouldn't have it any other way.

I just get very
sentimental and get the photos out and look at all the kids. Look at the little bundles of joy and think my god they now are 6'2, 6' & 6'4", then think of what the rats did when they were young, Eldest son (deceased) on his dirt bike, living and breathing for his bike, daughter nagging for years she wanted a horse and youngest son learning everything about fishing from my first husband. Now their are grandchildren, seeing my daughter and late son's daughter in law bringing up their children with the most important feeling, Xmas and all the values that go with Christianity.
