One More Sleep

I know that many on here have young kids that would be likely to get you up at some ungodly hour (ok if your going fishing) to see what pressies they have got. for us the kids are likely to sleep in now as they are 17 and 18. what time do your kids get up and wake you or are you the big kid and wake everyone up ?

My sister and I drive over

My sister and I drive over to my parents house, and we have synchronised present opening at noon and take photo's.

When I was a kid, we used to leave a glass of milk and cookies out for santa, and in the morning the glass was empty and the cookie had a big bight taken out of it.

Used to always spin out how santa could find us all the way down in Yallingup in a holiday house back in the early 80's when nothing was there.

That's santa for ya hahaha!

well our guys now 6 and 8 have been waking up at 5am-5.30am for the past few mornings.  They share a room so if one is up the other is not too far behind.  They are both a bit excited not just about Christmas but they know that this is the long holidays and they can not wait to get out and have some fun.Smile  Trouble is the olds in the family need thier sleep or by the end of Jan we are going to be sleep walking.

Santa

Thu, 2009-12-24 08:40

The kids always put a bit of nice cognac and smoked salmon for santa - he loves it! Always leaves them pressies!

Last year my eldest daughter went to bed at 7:30pm last christmas and then woke up at about 9:00pm thinking it was the next morning! LOL, she's just gold.

I can probably expect 5:00am on christmas morning but that would be no different for any other morning, the 1 year old is always up then.

I'll be getting up when the alarm goes off around 5am, slow stagger over to the mess hall, force feed in some breakie, stand out on the road and wait for a ride to work. 12 hours in the Dampier powerhouse, man I'll be ready for a beer when we're finished.

Cheers
Dale
