Based on diesel consumption
Based on diesel consumption that increases or decreases due to the wind turbines at the Power Station, slightly windier than May but not as windy as April...

September
we've stopped going up in September because of wind issues. We now spend longer in April/May.
Can be very hit & miss in September. Even squidding proved impossible at times.

Gales
As carnarvonite said, equinoxial gales start mid august through to start of summer which is south easterlies 20-25 knots constantly. Moves from 8-9/14 days being nice in winter to about 3-4/14 days being nice, so can easily blow out a trip.
