how has cottesloe beach been fishing lately? has anyone caught anything decent?

Went down last night, first time since just after New Years (was put off by the ridiculous number of anglers fishing over the top of each other).
Virtually no breeze, water was very still, so no tailor.
However, managed to get 4 good sized & fat herring, 25cm+ with one over 30cm. Great fun on the light gear.
Usually good for some tailor, conditions just weren't right last night.
