Crabbing - Is Ammo Jetty in Cockburn Sound?
Submitted by Z_fish on Thu, 2013-06-13 21:16
Hi guys,
I love crabbing and the ammo jetty at woodsman point is one of my favorite places to go get a feed of big blues.
I know that cockburn sound is closed to crabbing from september to mid december, but im not sure if the location of ammo jetty lies with in cockburn sound. I've never crabbed there during this period because i'm unsure about this.
Could someone please clarify whether or not ammo jetty lis within cockburn sound and is subjected to the blue swimmer crab closed season?

Pretty sure the Cockburn
Pretty sure the Cockburn sound runs from woodmans point to top end of garden island, thus making the Ammo jetty in Owen Anchorage.

Just go straight to the rule book:
