There in the past.  Around this time of year and may is generally still good.  Moored boat is definately the go, I have some pots with longer ropes than others so I work the depths from 7mts + up to about 15-17 tops.  You can do this in a line from the cliffs about 10 mts out from never again(the one people jump off) south west as far as you like.  This sorta keeps the pots out of the moorings. Launch from Pt walter ramp around the corner from the sandspit.

If the weather blows up the other side on chidley pt also does ok, so you can hide from the wind at one or the other even in a small boat.  Mullet, spleen and lamb necks are favorites in bait cages cause of the blowies.  Also take some light fishing gear, Bream are caught on the cliff face, flathead out deeper, and if on a night mission Mulloway or Bull Sharks have been taken.

But I would like to see how some of the lure fishers go? The flatties I got were on sundown on river prawn.  Some lures like prawnstars or damiki vaults in the heavier weights? They apparently work well on the flats, but I dont know about the depths.
