Crushed limestone for boat parking

Wondering if anyone put their boat on a crushed limestone pad?
Am looking at putting down a new pad for the boat, as the grassed area is just too hard to maintain with an 8m boat on it. Problem is, part of the area is on council land so putting anything "permenant" isnt a real good idea.
Just wanting to know if anyone has used it, aqnd does compacted crushed limestone hand the work from your boat trailer going over it constantly as well as the water from washing your boat down?

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

I had a earthmoving business
I had a earthmoving business for a few years, and if you are putting limestone or road base, I suggest u dig out at least 150mm use limestone, compact it and road base on top, compact and it should be good, how ever if it were me I would be getting a quote for a concrete pad, to do the limestone and base properly,I suggest getting it done professionally otherwise it can just break up, go soft and weeds will come thru, etc, due to weight and wash down, I recon getting a grano worker wouldn't be to much more in price and the best way to go.. (Or paving, and also u need a good base under it any way ) good luck Ric
