Daiwa j-braid 8ply 30lb vs shimano power pro 30lb

hi guys

out of daiwa j-braid and shimano power pro which one do you prefer which one lasts longer and has more abrasion resistance? Also when using the fg knot on 30ld braid to 50ld mono leader how many wraps should l do? Also l am trying to decide between a shimano Sedona and shimano nasci?

 Thanks

I run 30 wraps for 50lb leader but make sure it is bunched well and tight wraps.

 G'day Ethan.

We have Diawa, Shimano, Whiplash & Suffix 832 on bulk spools. Bring your reel in and I'll spool it for you at a good price.

Cheers David

30lb to 50 lb

I've always used 20 wraps for that , never an issue. I am not really a fan of Power pro anymore, at least the Depth Hunter stuff--I tested some 30lb which was only 12 months old, and it was breaking at 6kg. had to go a long way down the spool load before i got back to original b/s. J Braid seems OK for the money.

Can't help regarding the reels or the shimano braid since between those two, I've only used J Braid, however with an FG I do 24-26 wraps up to 40 lbs and then 30 or 32 wraps for 40lbs upwards.
