Day Dawn & Holdfast

I see there has been a new bigger and better cray boat built since Day Dawn, Holdfast....
Does anyone know what Holdfast cost to build?
I'm guess 1.5-2m but that's a wild stab.
Could be over 2m...

Almost seems like a bargain
Almost seems like a bargain when there was trailer boats at the boat show with replacements more than half a mill.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

Extreme Marine buit the hull
Extreme Marine buit the hull for Holdfast from memory.
Im hearing opposite, the owners of a couple of the huge boats have actually sold and downsized a bit

Fark, 2.6.... off the
Fark, 2.6.... off the chain
At that price with quotas they must be working max allowable pots 24/7 when the $/kg of Crays is high.
Doesn't make much sense otherwise

Do a Google search
There's a cool article on all of the specs for the boat (it's impressive) 600nm range and they can hold 220 baskets or 6.5 ton of crays. Makes it worthwhile!.

At a quick Google it looks
At a quick Google it looks like Poppa G is a multi role vessel with oil and gas ops an option.
The owners of these boats must be optimistic in the live export going back to the hay days....
I'm not sure that will be the case, in the short term anyway.
