D#*%heads

Went fishing down canning bridge last night. While we were there we noticed two ski type boats tied up in front of the raffles, obviously partying, lots of noise and music coming from them. Then they decided it would be fun to do some circle work in the middle of the river around each other. Then they went roaring off under the canning bridge at i would say about 20 knots creating a huge wash up on the banks where we were fishing. I would hope these guys werent fw memebers and if they are hang your heads in shame boys as your antics last night were juvenile and dangerous.

If you are out in your boat those lucky enough to have one then have a bit of consideration for us lb fishers. Thats my rant cheers for reading guys

When ever we pass guys

Wed, 2012-11-07 13:53

When ever we pass guys fishing from jettys bridges etc we always slow right down and give em a wide berth. Do this mainly cause until i got my rig i was in the same position as u and i reckon most fishos would do the same. Hangin outside the raffles in ski boats one word mate. Posers

Lots of idiots out there

Sat, 2012-11-10 07:56

Lots of idiots out there unfortunately. Twice in the last two weeks late night fishing Blackwall I've seen a boat belting along at a good 30 knots with no lights except for a dim blue light mounted halfway down the transom. If I see it again & it gets within casting distance I'm gunna make sure I hit it with a 4oz snapper lead. I'm pretty good with my distance, accuracy & timing so I reckon I'm a better than average chance of hitting it.

The kyakers further up the river around Ashfield are the ones that really drive me nuts. They cruise along, see you fishing, wave at you & then proceed to go straight over the top of your line 20ft from the bank. I know it's best for them to stay close to the bank but surely it can't be that difficult to move out another 20ft when they see someone fishing & then move back in once they are past them. I've ended up hooked to a few & been forced to clamp the spool so that I break off. I hope the buggers get my barbless hooks buried in thier hands when they are loading thier yak up.

 i was at canning bridge

Wed, 2012-11-14 10:35

i was at canning bridge yesterday and had the exact same thing happen. this guy was tearing up and down that stretch with his mate on the back of the jetski, probably just showing off to him. he made about 4 passes through the bridge at over 25knots i would say, a complete d***head, ignoring about 10 fishos around the bridge not to mention all the other boats and kayakers on the water. I agree with Fossil, next time that happens the drivers gonna get a ball sinker to the back of his head.

Water Police

I'd be focussing on taking some photos while calling the police. If you lower yourself to their level and actually hit someone at that speed you'll probably end up in jail for manslaughter. JMO.
