Balooning tip
I have been told to use a very light mono line (0.5) kilos to attach your balloon to the main line. When the fish grabs the bait you can then reel your balloon in on a light roid and reel after you have landed the fish. That way you don't lose your balloon which costs a fair bit to buy and to fill with helium

I was there last July and did all types of fishing; so the short answer to your question is if your keen to travel around the island (its 1.5 hours from homestead to the block for example) you have the chance to do every type of fishing.
I found i always had one rod with a richter plug permanently attached as the "off chance" thing happens pretty often on the Island.
My tip is go past the homestead even if your not staying there and catch Kieran Wardle having his quiet beer at the end of the day; 5 minutes of his advice as to where the fishing is on is well worth.
He sent me to spots and told me what i would catch and it was as if the fish had a copy of the script too.
I'll be back this year too, maybe see you there mate.
