Pajero turbo Diesel for towing

Anybody tow with 1 of these or know someone who tows with one. Had a look at the Triton and towed the boat with it but found it tows like a dog, all over the shop and just doesn't feel right. Now looking at a Pajero VRX Turbo but i don't know anyone who tows with one. Will be pulling around the 2-2.2T. Have the current Pathfinder which goes well and so did my Terracan but if anyone out there has one would be keen to know what you think before i sign up on one for 4 years.

Thanks

Great mate at towing have one myself Pajero Exceed 2006 done 60000km in 2 years (about 20000 with the boat on) so it gets some use and it pulls my trailcraft 595 trailblazer at 110mk/h no worries and it tows in 45'C plus doing that too no worries. Have extra tank up here in the Pilbara \so I don't have to stop at Nanutarra (top price fuel guaranteed) road house. Get approx 5.5-6 km/l towing dependant on wind and altitude gain. I don't tow much less than about 500km's at a time either. Great without the boat on too. They recon the tyre's chew out on the back but i got over 50000km out of mine easy.

Goatch has been with me towing aswell.

My old triton towed like crud too.

Wishin I was fishin and only 500k's to the water..

Heaps of grunt and reasonably economical. Tows my boat easily but its not 2.2tonne.
Great offroad too. Paris to Dakkar winners a gazillion years in a row I think.
Make sure you shop around for the finance as the rates are pretty volatile at the moment.

Thanks guys, i read that mitsubishi recomend that you use a load leveling system if you tow over 1200kg. Anyone heard this. As you say Deegs, they say that if you don't you chew the tyres out.

Getting one at about cost Andy thats the only reason i am getting 1. That and i need a tax writeoff. Thats my biggest concern will it tow the boat. I towed mine with the new Triton the other day and it seems to have the power although a bit slugish from 60km to 100km but that could be the setup on the Tritons.
